Do you love Myroo's products as much as we do? Check out our quick interview with Rachael Dunseath, Myroo's founder, to learn more about one of your favourite brands!
Where does the name Myroo come from?
Roo is my husband's nickname for me. It made perfect sense to use it in our brand name as Myroo has developed from my own and my daughters' journeys with allergies and sensitive skin.
Tell us about your range and why they are perfect for sensitive skin.
The Myroo range has been formulated especially with sensitive skin in mind. I live with the same problems as my customers so I know what matters to them, I'm always the first to test any new products in development. The products are super gentle, we use only beautiful plant based ingredients. We avoid known synthetic irritants, like alcohol, SLS, petrochemicals, phenoxyethanol, colourants and more. We don't use any nut, dairy or gluten containing ingredients and we offer a fragrance free option for every product as part of our promise.
What are your favourite ingredients to use in your products and why?
So hard to choose! I'm so privileged to work with such gorgeous ingredients. If I had to choose I'd pick Starflower (otherwise known as Borage) and Rosehip oils. They're little powerhouses and are packed with nourishment to feed and support the skin. Starflower has the highest level of GLA (part of the Omega 6 family) of any plant, it's great for supporting barrier function which is so often depleted in sensitive skin. We use it in our Cleanser and Serum. Rosehip is amazing, packed with high levels of vitamin A,C and E it nourishes deeply and helps with cell regeneration.
Can you tell us a quick daily beauty tip?
Cleanse, cleanse, cleanse. If you do nothing else cleansing twice a day will make a huge difference to your skin. If you do follow a routine then if will be futile if not applied to properly cleansed skin.
Tell us about your Rosehip Body Oil
It is fast becoming a cult product. We only launched it this summer but our customers are loving it. It's a great post exercise treatment for use as a body, bath or massage oil but it also works well just to relax at the end of a long day. The blend of plant oils is light and easily absorbed but packed with skin boosting goodness. As with all our products it's great for all skin types including eczema, psoriasis and rosacea.
